Early diet 'crucial for babies'.
The research provides more evidence that breastfeeding is the best possible way to feed babies.
There's some interesting info here, but I wanted to mention my dislike of headlines like the one used in this article: Babies who do not eat much in the first fortnight of life may be set up for better heart health throughout life, which does give the wrong first impression. The first couple of paragraphs go on to reinforce the message that babies who received a low nutrient diet rather than a nutrient rich diet in their first days were healthier as adolescents.

It's very easy to asume (and many people apparently do) that you have the essential message after reading the headlines and first two paragraphs, especially since the message appears to be counter-intuitive. So, note to self, make sure you read the whole article before you start commenting it with others or spreading it like new gospel.
